Tuition is available at Doon Academy in brass instruments, keyboard, percussion, woodwind instruments and singing.

The instruction is given by specialist teachers and consists of one lesson each week with all necessary practice being done at home.

The lessons are free but some books must be supplied by the pupil. Some brass instruments can be loaned by the school.

Lessons commence on a trial period after which the pupil’s progress is assessed. Parents/carers should be willing to monitor pupils’ work and encourage them to practise.

Music lessons from a private teacher can be very costly these days and any parents/carers who think that a child would benefit from lessons at school should make enquiries at the school.
